We’re Back! Roll on April 12th
The UK Government announced last week that non-essential retail can re-open on April 12th*. After a three-month hiatus from our streets, our beloved stores can look forward to a prosperous future once again. Retail stores provide many of us with an outlet from our family and working lives. Many of us will once again be looking forward to shopping at one of many great retail stores/outlets.
As many of you will be aware, online retail numbers have been increasingly setting new records for volumes of sales. However, the retail experience that physical stores offer, cannot be replicated online. The tangible advantage that physical stores have over their online counterparts cannot be overlooked. The touch, feel and opportunity to test/try on products, or an unrivalled advantage brick to bricks can offer.
The re-opening has also been widely celebrated by the 2.9m* employees within the retail sector. Retail teams will be eager to get back to work and will now be in the process of carefully planning their long-awaited return.
Retails return will also be vital to the long-term viability of many cherished small and local businesses. Local businesses play a vital part in bringing communities together and providing employment opportunities.
